Mission of (DCD)
The Department of Drug Quality Control is a regulatory body under the Kerala Health Services, responsible for monitoring and controlling the quality of drugs and pharmaceuticals distributed within the state. Established to safeguard public health, the department ensures that all medicines, whether manufactured locally or imported, comply with the standards set by the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940, and the Indian Pharmacopoeia

- The Kerala Poison Rules, 1996 issued under the Poison Act, 1919
